A presence of nearly two decades has
seen us dial success in the telecom space, with our end-to-end network
solutions for fixed, mobile, data operators and other corporate customers in
telecom. From services that include surveying, planning, designing and
implementing wireless and wire line networks, to products like optical transmission equipment, radio transmission equipment,
access equipment, broadband wireless products, next-gen switching equipment,
etc., we have grown to be a reliable partner for telecom majors.
We tuned into the telecom sector in the
year 1991 with the setting up of the Antenna and Masts division. Soon after, we
established the Towers Division (in 1992), Telecomm Turnkey Solutions Division and Strategic Electronics Special Projects
Division (in 1995). With our services spanning the entire spectrum of telecom
and catering to the top telecom players in the public and private sectors, we
notched up the No.1 slot as a private telecom manufacturer by 1995. By the year
2000, we were at the fifth position among the top ten private infrastructure
telecom companies in the region.
The year 2001 saw the setting up of the Assembly and
manufacturing facility for DWDM, infrastructure and CDMA handsets at Yanam. We
were recipients of the Best Import Substitution Award in Telecommunications. We
received the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003 and obtained TEC clearance for
180 telecom and 20 DGQA/CMILAC products. By this time, we had gained prominence as a major supplier of outside
plant infrastructure for telecom.
It is an honour and pride for us at
ICOMM to extend our services to India’s Defence Forces, through the Defence
Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) and Bharat Electronics Limited
(BEL). We are the only company in Asia and among the three in the world with
the expertise to develop and manufacture Frequency Hopping TDMA Radios used for
ECCM deployment, electronic warfare platforms and other tactical zones. Our
contributions to Brahmos, Akash, Samyukta, etc. have met with appreciation from
the premier organisations associated with the Ministry of Defence.
ver the years, we have risen to the
rank of a reliable vendor for designing, prototyping, testing and manufacturing
a suite of products & services for the Defence sector. With the indigenous
development of Tank Intra-communication
devices for different categories of armored tanks, we have created yet another
milestone. Whether it is providing high bandwidth wired and wireless access
radios such as fixed and mobile WiMax or transport radio solutions such as
SDH/PDH for the backhaul, we are spearheading the services for defence
communication requirements. With our portfolio of products and services, we are
well-poised to assist the country in combating its defence challenges.
